I just got a goby and a new randall's shrimp. They both like to hide, but how can i get food down there so they can eat.

Formula One Sinking Pellet with Garlic---they'll steal them and drag them off to the hole: just land a few near them.

Also anyone know what kind of alge that is and how to get rid of it.

i dont know about the algae, but if you something like a turkey baster, then you can feed your goby and shrimp next to their den with foods like frozen mysis or brine shrimp. make sure they see the food coming out of it so that next time they will know that its feeding time.

yup, just dont over feed or shoot too much out at one time or else the goby wont be able to catch it in time and it will decompose later into unwanted nutrients elsewhere in the tank if no other tankmates eats it

Howdy,
Wondering about that algae myself so I'm just tagging on.
I heard on another site that a Mexican turbo snail will do the job and get rid of the alge.

I looked on the Macroalgae thread and I think mine's actually red coralline. It's not nearly as big as yours, but I tagged on before I double checked.
Good luck, and try posting your pic on the algae thread.
