How do clean this? Saltwater mud or sludge

Hello all.

I need to know the best way to clean the salt mud that is building in my mixing tank and also clogging the pump.

Here are some pictures.

vinegar works wonders on that stuff.

+1. I usually let it sit in vinegar and warm water for a few hours.

I fill the container up and pour in a 1-gallon of vinegar ($1.99 at Dollar General) and turn the pump on like I was mixing salt. Let it go for a couple of hours and rinse well and let air dry.
