How do you frag an acans?

Just curious as I went back over 10 days and don't see anyone asking even though I'm sure its been asked before. I have a nice small colony of acans on a piece of rock that have reached their limit since the whole rock is now covered and I'd like to frag it so I can get the colony to spread.

What is the usual method for doing this?
thanks

I've got a dremel with the cutting wheels. Would this work? How careful do I have to be when cutting, i.e. should I only attempt to cut a large chunk off or is it possible to cut individual polyps?

I cut right through polyps and they do fine. I would use a wet saw. I think a dremel would go too slow and would not be as clean a cut.

I think Jendub has a nice little tutorial on her blog on how to cut acans. You can connect to her blog on frags.org (can I say that?) and scroll back earlier in the year or late last year and they have a turorial.

Ive done both standard cutting wheel and diamond tip. The diamond tip cuts through acans like butter, by far the better of the two. But the cutting wheel works, especially in a pinch for a strait cut, cuts are wider, and slower though so make sure to use a baster to keep the blade and coral cool and wet and it'll be fine :)
