How do you frag cloves?

I have these and a few folks in my area would like some. I just have never fragged them before and don't want to kill the colony. Do you just cut the "root" and peel off the rock?

cut where you would like removed and peel them off the rock.

Get a screw driver and hammer and break the rock into the frag peaces

they usually peel off in patches. then you can use a rubberband and plastic toothpick to get it to attach to another rock.

Agreed. Super glue also works.

I am not in your area but want some. The polyp can retract and form a little ball. All of these little balls are connected by rootlike stolons. Just peel them from the rock. A sharp tool would help.

If you have the time, you can butt a small rock up to the rock with the colony and they will grow onto it on their own. That's what I've done a couple of times.
