How far can I run RODI line?

My RODI is about 30 feet from my tank. Right now I fill a bucket and bring water to the tank. The unit is under the sink in my bathroom. Can I run the RODI water line all the way to the tank? I would probably take it under the floor and back up.

I have a BRS 5-stage 75gpd. AND I love it!!!!

Is it a horizontal run or vertical + horizontal? I would imagine 30 feet horizontal wouldn't be too much of an issue, but if its up to the next floor for example might be an issue.

I have mine running about 15 feet and it is fine.

Mine is ran 6 feet up the wall in the garage then about 50 feet in the attic and back down to the tank. No problems at all.

How are you cutting it on and off, manually?

The reason I ask is if you are using a float switch, make sure you have a backup switch if the water is going directly in your tank or sump.

Yep, that'll be just fine. The RO units have pressure on the permeate lines and so they can be run pretty much anywhere in the house... I've even ran mine through a 1000' roll just for the fun of it...

My RO unit is 50' from my tank and I'm direct plumbed thru the attic. Works great. Make sure you use one continuous line and don't have any couplers in it -- you wouldn't want it to leak in your attic or under your floor.

+1 ^^^^ I did the same thing and it works great.

Thanks all,

There won't be any vertical change and I will ba turning it on and off manualy so it looks like I'm in business. I was getting tired of carrying water.
