How fast can a hermit kill a Turbo ?

I dropped in a couple of Turbo Snails and when i cam back about 30 min later one of them was flipped over and being "eaten" when first introduced it was moving and grazing...now it wont come out the shell...is it just stressed and will come out later ?

Hermits won't kill turbos because they don't use turbo shells for housing. They tend to prefer nassarius or cerith snails. Occasionally nerite shells. It's likely the turbo was dying and the hermit was doing it's job of cleaning up.

From personal experience, I've had a red leg hermit crab move into an empty turbo snail shell. He didn't stay in it long however and moved again days later.
