How fast can I change my salinity

So my refractometer broke a couple months ago so I have been using an old hydrometer. Today just for the hell of it I took it with me to the LFS to get a reading of how far off it was. It was reading 1.020 when the LFS refractometer was reading 1.025!!!!!!! So i purchased a new refractometer and checked all 6 of my tanks. All at 1.030 Dammmmm. So now the question is how fast can I bring the tanks back down to 1.025? I am amazed that I have not lost any fish or corals although some are not to happy.

really. thats strange If thats the case please let a couple other members chime in and agree. Thanks. That would be great. Really I just want to bring it down something like .001 per day. So tomorrow i want to get them down to 1.029 and sat 1.028 is that ok or to fast. i do have SPS and LPS in several tanks

.001 per day should be good, I would go a .001 difference every 2-3 days, keep an eye on your Ca/Alk/Mg as the levels will be different as you bring down your salinity

Nothing good happens fast in this hobby. If corals are doing fine at higher salinity then I wouldn't drop it too fast. Obviously the slower u drop it the less stress you'll have on corals.
