How fast do euphyllia grow?

I've had a green torch for about 4 months now and has been 2 heads the entire time it does look bigger now but no new heads have grown. Are they normally slow growers? I keep my alk and cal at the right levels with water changes(I have the red sea reefer nano) and I occasionally feed them reef roids and mysis my hammer hasn't grown at all either. let me know if this is normal or if they should've grown by now. Thanks for the feedback.

I think it really depends on the circumstances & the coral itself. In my tank I have 3 hammers 2 frogspawn & a torch & for the most part they all stayed about the same for a few months. Except for the torch, they seemed to be healthy & they would stay expanded just not much growth. After about the 6 month mark they started growing & now grow pretty fast. I have one hammer that had 2 heads when I got it close to a year ago & he still only has two heads. It has really big heads though, I have two more that each have four heads & the one with only two heads is 5 or 6 times bigger than the other two.

For me once they get settled in & start growing I usually get 1 or 2 new heads every 3 to 6 months or so. Sometimes it takes them a while to settle in before they start growing to fast.

My hammer and 1 frog seem to split their heads every 6 months or so...meaning like...over 6 months 2 became 4...then 4 became 8...then I have another frog that seems to shoot out 3 or so new baby heads under each head every so often that then take like a year to gain any significant size

Ok I guess it's really dependent on the tank they're in... I'll keep doing what I am now and give them some more time to settle in and hopefully they'll start to grow. Thanks for the feedback.

Depends on how many heads you have. THe first division is slow: the head forms a figure 8, then slowly they separate as 2 branches. Over time, 3 heads become 6, become 12, become 24, and by then you are considering how much room this fellow is going to take: if your calcium supplementation is up to it (they're hungry: I recommend kalk in the ATO) you can now frag off a few. This will not slow them down. I had a 50 head hammer that, when most of its heads began to divide, meant I had traded and given away so much hammer I was running out of places to bestow it---like a kid with Girl Scout cookies to sell, ultimately you run out of friends and uncles. At this point, you just have to dispose of the not-so-good bits. It can also chemically stunt some other corals that might compete with it---don't think badly of it: they'll do the same to it if they get the edge. But euphyllia can grow so fast you have to frag every 3 months or be overrun. This was the 50-head stage.
