How fast will they grow?

I recently purchased a 3 inch long peacock mantis shrimp. I give it a krill every day, and he pounds a crab or snail every now and then. How long will it take to get full grown. He is in a 30 gal reef. all by himself. He has trouble making friends:smokin:

Sexual maturity occurs around 5 inches. Maximum size is around 6.5 - 7 inches. It is very rare that O. scyllarus get larger than 6 inches in captivity. There growth slows considerably once they hit reproductive size. If it doesn't develop shell disease or lose its raptorial appendages, the animal should be around for at least another couple of years.
