I want to add a Crocea or Maxima to my mixed reef. Its a 50 breeder , 18 inches tall with a 14K 250 watt MH bulb about 6 inches above the water surface. Water is fine , tank established and a very happy Squamosa lives on the bottom. I want the second clam for color and diversity and need to know if there is such a thing as too high and possibly burning him. Once the clam is acclimated can I consider placing it as high as lets say 4 inches from the top or 10 inches from the lamp ? Thanks for your advise. Peter
