Thought i would post it on here, my Picassos percula have been vigorously cleaning there spot for spawning i assume. The male has been cleaning the area for a while where as the female just started that i noticed 9 days or so ago. The male also pics up a small piece of coral in his mouth and spits it away from there host site.

The female has recently, in the last couple days, been herding the male back to there host site when he strays to far with his cleaning.

I also gave them 3 days in a row of new hatched brine shrimp to simulate a plankton bloom, according the Wilkersons book.

I guess my main question is How long after you notice these behaviors did they spawn? Days, Weeks, Months, Years?

Thanks
Anthony

I guess it depends on the tank condition and the clowns. My onyx pair has been cleaning the rock near its anemone for years but nothing happen.

I also have mine by themselves. In the 20g tank they live in all they have is LR, GSP and some blue xenia, oh and a flower pot which hosts them

Our False Percs started spawning within 1 week.
Our Darwins cleaned for over a month.
The Picassos spawned almost immediately.
We never saw the Onyx clean. We either missed it, or they poor house keepers. :)

My female has now decided to attack the magfloat that has been in the tank longer than her. Thinking this is a good sign though?
