How long do you guys run your photoperiod

Mine isn't 11hr constant ;) I have 5 halides the first one is one @ 1pm while it goes of @ 11:30pm Halide #5 (last halide)comes on @ 5pm while going off @ 2 am.

Your corals have quite a "nightlife". Mine go to bed at 9.
 
actinics on @ 7pm
halide on @ 8pm

halide off @ 1am
actinics off @ 2am

runing the lights during the evening and into the night helps a whole lot with temperature

Not according to them they don't :lol:

My atinics are on at 12, off at 12, daylight 2-10. I do this because I am more often around at night then during the day.

I run my halides 6hrs / day and actinics 8 hrs/day

I noticed a huge diff in coral coloration when I started feeding my tank (flake mostly and cyclopeez) daily. Before I fed 2x/week and all my corals were very pale in compairison. My .02
 
3 400 se 12k Reeflux Halides only: 6 hrs each, staggered 2 hours from left to right, 10 hours total

:lol: I like to see my reef and 2am is my bedtime . Plus it helps on our summer rates . My electric is over 450 a month in 1100sqft place
