How long the wait for a package?

Just wondering how long the wait is if I order a 75 gallon package within the next month or so? Is the summer time a good time to order?

How long have others been waiting?

thanks!

Ordered my 72 on Monday and am still waiting on the email! Received an automated response stating that they are about 1-2 weeks backlogged.

I ordered a 20 gallon package yesterday, got the automated response and am too waiting on the email to confirm. I can't wait!!

Ordered my 72 package on March 26th and still am waiting
I got a call about 2 weeks after i ordered the package saying that it should be about 2 more weeks, but the weather has not been kind, so i am just staring at my boring tank of water. However everyday i am still hoping for that call.

I placed my order on March 20th and I'm still patiently waiting for that all important phone call. Hopefully the weather will start getting better so we can all have a Christmas before July. Good luck and let me know if anybody hears anything.

yeah, its been a long wait, but I know it will be worth it once it arrives! I just hope I get it before July, going on a vacation then. :D

ive waited longer than all of you!
i sent my order in January
anyone know how to correctly use a "baffle"? I have no idea how to regulate the water going into a 10 gallon i am planning to attach to be equal to the water coming out of the 10 gallon.

You probably won't have to wait that long...TBS says that summer time is usually a lot better for diving and they tend to have much shorter waiting times.

I'm still waiting for my part 2...I waited ~2 months for part one but I have to say it was absolutely worth it...I love my rock!

I ordered my TBS rock back in April 04. They shipped it out the same day I ordered it. I think they are just much busier than they were last year. The rock is well worth it though.

I'm sure it will be. Just looking through some of the existing posts and seeing the great looking rock, making me VERY anxious!! :-D

i ordered it about three weeks ago and i have been calling constantly since
i really need this live rock!!!!!!!!!!!
i am not willing to spend 13$ a pound for medeocre stuff
i ordered 20 pounds of rock and a bunch of creatures for my 55 gal that i am trying to get set up

How can that be? I saw from people's responses to this forum that TBSW filled orders in early April

TBS gives priority to people waiting for the second half of their order. Also if you get a call but are unable to take a shipment or they can't get ahold of you they have to go to the next person on the list.

Meh... priority shmiority. I ordered back in January too. I got the first part in ~2 weeks, but am still waiting on the second. I did not get my second half when some others apparently did (and no I didn't get a call or anything).

If I had to do it again... I dunno. The rock is nice to look at I admit, but there is more to a reef tank than rock (can anyone say corals & fish?)

There are enough posts here that you should be able to make an informed decision. There are positives - nice looking rock, diversity of life, less environmentally destructive than other methods. Then there are also negatives - many of the hitchikers are bad including gorilla crabs, predatory whelks, and mantis shrimps (yes I had all 3). And of course the wait in my case is now at 4+ months... But hopefully that will change with summer weather.

Waiting really stinks... I almost wish TBS would stop trying to fill orders in the winter. It's obvious they can't keep up either due to weather or demand, and it's frustrating to us.
