How long to 're-pair' relocated mated GMS pairing?

After losing my favorite GSM pairing some years ago, I found another pair FS. This economic downturn is great for those looking for steals in this hobby at the moment in my neck of the woods!

I have the pair seperated with a 1.5-2 gallon rubbermaid container in the lagoon right now. I'm going to try to reintroduce them tonight for the first time. My concern was that the previous owner had them sperated as he was tearing down his tank. I'm kind of at a loss if 24 hours is enough time for them to acclimate? The female is staying on the opposite end of the lagoon from the male's enclosure, but she was still freaked out from the 30 minute bucket ride last night I'm sure. I have their previous flower pot home soaking in vinegar, so hopefully that will calm them down so they can retreat to a familiar place.

What is the consensus on time required before they are a happy couple again? I would think after a couple weeks if the flames doesn't rekindle, I'm out a establoshed pair....?

Thanks!

Hmmm, if they were already an established pair in the previous owners tank, I would have just introduced them together in the same aquarium, without trying to re acclimate to each other and keep an eye on how they behave.

Well, I just decided to go for broke last night and dumped the little guy from his Rubbermaid holding cell. One quick charge and voila..2 happy campers! I think after this experience, I would never try pairing GSM EVER again. It's just too easy to buy a mated pair from someone trying to unload their livestock.
