How Many of You Have Angels?

If you are going to try any non-genicanthus, you should have a plan to catch it. I hope that you never need it, but you might. If you can live with the plan to catch it, then you are good to go. If you cannot live with the plan, then I would find another fish.

143gadgets,

my hands down favorite angel is the interruptus or japanese pygmy. If you are so intent on getting an angel why not get one of these? They get a little larger than most centropyge and you can get them tank raised from rct in hawaii. They are expensive but the tank raised versions are even less likely to nip at corals.

just a thought.

Any vendor link to RCT tank-raised interruptus or japanese pygmy?

Thanks,

Sean

I have an adult emperor, majestic and asfur. The asfur and emperors are big probably 7-8".
They all have never eaten a coral (except a little green hammer, I think it was the emperor) and they all are quite reefsafe.
I wouldnÃ"šÃ‚´t try a queen or a french but almost all of the big angels are pretty reefsafe.
The small ones are a bigger threat IÃ"šÃ‚´ve read.

As long as you don't have any tridacnids (clams), you should be able to have most kinds of large angels--but usually only one angel per tank. I had a queen, and I know of others with imperators, regals, etc.

I have a Imperator...Great fish doesn't nip at the corals. I do see him nip at the rocks and at sponge though.

I had a Singapore...For as long as it took to catch it. This was a holy terror nipped at everything. Nearly killed my ORA tort. My Lobophyilla is still recovering.

No problem with my Emperor I have different clams in the tank with him for three years now

I just added a beautful new pair of Watanabe angels, and no problems so far. Also a crosshatch trigger.
