How many watts of lighting would i need for a t-5 fixture over a 75 gallon tank is 216w good?

It depends what corals, if any, you are keeping.

Should be ok but it's a bit on the low side...be sure to stack your rock strategically and scrutinize your coral placement.

The reflectors make a big difference along with keeping the bulbs cooler while on.

I thought that a 6 bulb was overkill for my 75. IMO, if you use the right bulb combo and a fixture with active cooling, a 4 bulb would be ok over a 75.
