How Many Yellow Tangs?

I have a 135 gal with 2 dwarf angels, a wrasse, and a gramma. I was thinking of getting a small school of yellow tangs, I was just wondering how many would be fine in my tank. I don't want just 1 or 2. I was hoping for 4+. Thanks for the imput. Tank is 72"x18"x24".

1 only. The tank is not really big enough for any more. Trust me, I have 2 in my 220 and the stronger one is starting to kill the weaker. I have also tried 3s, 5s, and and even 7, but they all wither down to 1.

I have 5 tangs in my 90. They all do fine, achilles, purple, sohal, gold rim, yellow

You're always going to get someone like this if you want that kind of advice.

As for me, I say 1 and done. Get a school of something else. Such will be the prevailing opinion you'll hear, I'm sure of it.

Oh. Thats no good. I have read that they do well as singles or in groups of 3 or more. I sure don't want to pay $50 a fish to have them just turn into one.

I read lots but experienced more. You're right $50 is a lot. Get a small school of anthias or something.

I justed added another yellow in my 240,so far everything is good, they swim together. They have been together for about 4 weeks.

Don't do this please.... this is bad husbandry and does.the animals no good... a tank like this isn't setup to house the animals properly, its there for the aesthetic pleasure of the owner without any consideration of what's good for the animals...

Makes me.sad.actually... how disappointing
