How Much Flow For a Carpet Nem

How much flow should I give my carpet nem. Just installed a Koralia Level 3 (900 GPH) is the to much. I Also have a Maxjet 1200 in a 75 gal. Is it okay for the nem to sway in the current.

It seems to have opened up more. I dont know if this is from the flow or it is more happy.

I like to provide just enough flow to make the edge of the oral disc lift off the sand now and again.

What type of carpet anemone do you have?

1 x gigantea (but that gets more flow) and 2x haddoni. I'm assuming you have a haddoni ? It was difficult at first to get the right type of flow for the two types of anemone but with a bit of trial and error positioning the flow pumps ( 2x Tunze streams) and adjusting flow rate with the Tunze multi controller I finally had a setup which suits all parties involved.

Assuming that you don't have the powerhead(s) pointed right at it, you are fine.

In my 75 ( with a Haddoni ) I have 2 MJ Mods ( 1600 gph each ) 2 SIEO 1100 ( 1100 gph each ), 1 SIEO 620 ( 620 gph ) and my return pump ( b/t 400 and 500 gph -- throttled back and head loss ). Mine seems very happy with all the flow. None of it hits it directly and its oral disc isn't being folded over.

Biggest Ive seen it yet, I guess its happy. It has attached completely to the live rock on the bottom of the tank.
