How much flow?

I havent seen this posted anywhere, but how much flow should you have with your mantis? Do they like it one way or the other?

There are over 500 species of stomatopod ranging from 12 mm cavity living species to 40 cm burrowers. A few live only in surge channels on reef crests, others are found in stagnent mangrove lagoons. There is no "typical" stomatopod. If you know the species, we can figure out the habitat in which it is found and from there infer the flow conditions.

It is a shallow, reef flat species that experiences high flow during high tide and low flow at lowtide when they often are in tide pools.
