how much is a green carpet???

hello, i finally decided on which anemone to get and decided on a green carpet... that way he can keep off the rock where i have corals... read quit a bit on them... needs/care and im ready to get one... so how much do they run$$$??? like size/$$ wise...

wow!! thats it??? a dinner plate for $60... is that really there average price?? you know what... while im already at it... anyone that have one please post some tips on them ??? even though i read a lot but hey.. just in case i pick up something new to learn...

yea down in florida we get stuff alot cheaper, their pricing will differ depending on where you live

i seen a one in a store downtown like a month ago for like $80... it was 5'' max... and was a little sickly.... so guess they can range from $60-$80 for one around 6''-8'' is decent?? so like $10 per inch?? ( just to use as a base for a rule of thumb on pricing)


how long do you think one will linger in my tank??? 4' is lit by 6 t5ho and the 2' that is left is lit by a 400w se on a m59... ( anyone by chance know of a decent cheap bulb w/blue tint to replace my overdue bulb??? i seen the evc bulb for under $57 but dont know how good they are) and i have 3 mj mods for circulation.. i will add another one next time i order something online...

Green carpets are more easy to come by. They are from $45 to $80. I think a healthy speciemen is more important than what it cost.

45 to 80 bucks is the norm price. 80 bucks being a very large one, the more expensive ones are the blues and reds.

kool... thx for the price range guys.... i actually like the green more then the blue though.. i think,because it's more vibrant... but a red one would be super cool!!! id call it 'crimson carpet!!! ' now to find one..

I'd say $100 bucks max for a green one, depending on size

what 'green' are you looking for?

the light green or the neon green?

the neon is my fav color as i think it is the most brilliant of the more exotic colors of blue, red and purple.

i love my neon green but has gotten too large for my tank.

something like that!!! i actually like stuff with longer tenticals (i like the way they move in the current) but dont want anything to climb on the rocks... (plus i have plenty of light for probaly anything on 2' of my tank since it's lit by a 400watter mh...) im trying to find the biggest most sticky and vibrant carpet i can afford, which isn't much...

Here is one I had a while ago. I like the bright greens better than the blues or reds. For the most part haddoni carpets aren't going to have very long tentacles (thats why they call them carpets. )
