This topic is a two parter. But first I have a 40 gallon breeder. Occupants chocolate chip and sand sifting sea star, 4 damsels, porcupine puffer and lawnmower blenny. Ammonia 0 nitrates 0 nitrites just above 0. I have about twenty pounds live rock I have pictures attached is that enough? Also I have had conflicting responses . If I buy live rock from my LFS and keep it fully submerged while transporting will it cause my tank to cycle?

If ammonia and nitrites are controlled then it's enough. Frankly, rock varies so much that eyeballing 'enough' is completely useless. Put as much rock in to achieve the desired aesthetic; it's almost always enough.

Why the air stone ? In tank and how long this running for ??

I bought the tank used on letgo app and transported it already established to my house. He had an airstone so I kept it. Are they ok to use in saltwater tanks?

i would add more rocks, so the fish can hide & feel comfortable :strange: . Aqua scape (IMO). Just make sure to check the salinity.

I would add more rock personally and yes if you keep the live rock underwater it will not cause a cycle..
Even if its just thrown in a bag and its a short trip you should be just fine too..

I would only worry if there was hours between it being taken out of the water and being put back in

the bubbles popping at the surface make a mess and over time can shift your salinity. I would replace it with a power-head aimed to produce surface agitation.
