How much was your Flame Angel?

Im going to get a flame on sunday, so I thought tonight I would call a few places to see if they had them, and what they cost. I dont remember them costing as much as they said, two $60 and one $75. The price isnt going to stop me from buying one, and the one I think Im going to get the guy said was about 2 inches which sounds great. I was just wondering what other people paid and also about what size they were.
Thanks
P.S. Thoes frags are sure going to come in handy

Ask them if they do a quarentine of their livestock before they make them available for sale. I know my fav LFS QT's for about a month, which raises the price of their livestock. I have only had one fish die coming from them, but that was my fault (hawkfish decided that the new jawfish would make a great snack!)

ChinChek787, Ill make sure to do that, I wonder why they are so expensive now, because before I thought I remembered them being like $35. Ill call tomarrow when they get there new order in.

depending on where you are and where the flame came from.
The ones from Hawaii will cost double those from christmas island (99% of the retail flames come from x-mas island)

Hawaiian ones are MUCH prettier and brighter, so the divers who catch them (they are rare in hawaiian waters) charge more.

60$ isn't a bad price.. Although according to some posts here, its high.. lol He might have a bad wholesaler who get them for more money..

Yeah, I've seen flames vary greatly in appearance....from dull, muddy orange/brown, to brilliant orange and yellow, to stunning almost solid red. I'd pay more for a better looking/healthier specimen. just my opinion.

seems like most people are getting them from indo pacific. I see hundreds come in and out of Hawaii from x-mas island and they are 20$ a piece (this is BEFORE wholesale) The Hawaiian flames cost 30-35$ a piece (that is DIVERS price)

i wonder where everyones LFS is buying from... some cheap flames...

$35 at the LFS. The Bengals were doing good this year, so I suggested that he double the price and call them, "Bengal Fish." Probably would have worked, too!!
