So I am about 2 years in to my Cobalt and I am wondering if I should be considering replacing it prior to it experiencing an issue?
It has been solid so far . . . . . What are you thoughts on when to replace a quality heater?

Do you know how the inkbird compares to a ranco controller.
The inkbird can handle both heating cooling. Nice large digital temp display. Has alarms. I had a Ranco control a chiller once but I don't remember much about the features of it. Sorry.Do you know how the inkbird compares to a ranco controller.
I change mine every 12 months as a preventative measure even though I have 2 (one is set 2 degrees lower as a back up) and a temperature controller which is additionally controlled by my reef keeper lol. I don't trust heaters, and neither should you.So I am about 2 years in to my Cobalt and I am wondering if I should be considering replacing it prior to it experiencing an issue?

As someone who just lost their whole reef to a heater that exploded. I would say I would change them once a year or so for good measure.
Which brand you had?

Jasper- i recommend eheim 250 watt heaters. Use them for year or less and toss them in my yard so I can get rid of them for you.
He had a cobalt neotherm. Heaters are rather inexpensive, so once a year is worth the peace of mind.
