How rare or common is this Leprechaun's Beard Acro. ?

Just wondering if this coral is kind of rare in the hobby. I have not come across it in other then where I got it from and a couple others who got it from me or the original source.

Its really a gorgeous coral, that I have managed to grow out into a nice big colony over the past few years.

If you have it, post a picture.

never heard of it before but it looks interesting  if you want to send a frag my way i can tell you more about it lol.

I have a piece, it's prettier than the pictures. It's kind of like a desalwii type table with unusual colors.

Very nice! I've never seen it before. I would say it is worthy of a wider distribution. Heck you got MT, PA, VA, FL, and LA covered right here in this thread!!! :)

Ah.. so it did originally come from me. Based on the responses it seems this is not a common coral, and may in fact benefit from being spread out, and keeping its genes alive.

Looks like a A.Solitaryensis to me.

thank you for taking a stab at the specie name. it is refreshing to know what this
coral might actually be besides common made up names. no offense sanjay :-)

beautiful colony you have there. i am trying to look on live aquaria for the examples
they are selling.

That would be great stab at a name...:lolspin:. I know what a stoli looks like and I am absolutely sure its no where close to a stoli. Here is another picture of it taken from a different angle.

Besides, I would be thrilled if the experts here can ID a coral by just looking at a picture where as I who owned it for 3 years have struggled to get a good ID on it.I could pick a arbitrary name from Veron's book, but that would not make it a correct name.

In any case it is a very neat coral, one that I have not come across anywhere else (does not mean it may not exist in someone else's tank). The only ones I know so far are the ones who have got it from me, or from the person I got mine from.

I was hoping I could track down other sources for this coral. If no one else in the hobby has it from any other source then Leprechaun's Beard would clearly identify the coral just as well as A. Leprechaunsis.
