A while ago i got a fish> A tang and i know im going to get chewed out by every one and there brother but i know before it gets to big. I CANT CATCH IT!!!!! I tried so many things but i cant get him he has a hole in a rock and i have even took the rock out of the water but he just stays in. I need to know how to get rid of it so i doesnt get to big and sick

If you can lift that rock out with him in it, just put it in a bucket of drawn-off water-change water, and wait for him to swim out of it. When he does, grab the rock out and put it back into your tank, net and bag the rascal. If he won't come out of the rock, try lowering the water level until the top of his hole is out of water, and he'll come out, almost guaranteed.

Otherwise, get a tall plain sheet of glass or plastic, stand it like a gate near the V of a corner, chase him in there, slam the gate shut and net at leisure.

Here's something that really works because it's sooo simple. LOL

Put a net in the tank with FOOD in it and wait until he swims into the net...
You may get other fish with him, but just put them back.

i once tried that and the fish never went for the food, spent two weeks only feeding in the net and he did fine eating my inverts and anyfood that escaped the net, got him when i upgraded the tank. the other day i caught my tang but using one of those fish traps you find at your local fish store, it worked so well. that's the method i suggest, only took only one try.

The fish net didn't work for me either when i too had to remove a small tang to be put into my newly upgraded 90. Ended up having to take all the rock out of the 20 and coaxing him towards the net with my hand.

Oh wait. Then he became territorial in the 90gal. and i had to catch him to put him in the sump until i was through adding other tangs. Let me tell you how much fun that was to catch him.

second on Kaine's link....since your tank is not very big the drain method should work perfectly....just try not to stir up the sand bed too much or your tank might crash.
