how to cure ich in reef?

has anyone cure their reef no fish for six week? Is it effective?

Yes, I removed all of my fish for 7 weeks from my main tank to QT. I treated the fish with the hyposalinity method in QT. My main tank was kept fishless. I have had fish back into the main tank now for a few weeks and all is good. I QT all new fish for at least 4 weeks now. I used to go only two weeks and paid the price.

i used chopped garlic and floated it every day for 5 days...works great...

thanks, i think thats what i will do. remove my fish for 7 weeks.
