How to epoxy a Monti Cap?

I have have this lovely geen monti cap that is growing nicely but isn't stuck to any LR. As it's a funnel shape I have it perched in a hole in the the rock structure and it will stay there....unless an urchin comes along and knocks it off.

So I need to epoxy it down. Can I just epoxy up the hole and press the monti cap into it? The underside is a smooth white/brown so I don't think heat from curing epoxy would hurt it? Have to stick it down because I'm going away for a week and I can't expect my wife to fish the cap off the sand bed every other morning. :)

Try to clean the spot first (cap) as it may be slimy or have algae that will cause the glue to not hold after a week or two.

The green/white putty might be best: it sets to shape, and is particularly good with holes. You just have to stand and hold it for half a year.

I've used superglue with no problems.

Use superglue first, it's worked well on a few of my frags.

I have another that fused to the rock on its own. I set it on top of a pile and it kinda wedged between two rocks. I went to move it one day and it was attached. :D

Thanks all for your answers. I have one nice red cap that is fused to the rock but this one just continually sits there and gets knocked at least once a week. I'll try superglue first and then switch to epoxy if it still moves.
