How to frag a sarcophyton?

I have a pretty big sarcophyton (about 8" or so diameter) Toad Stool that I think I could frag......... but I have never fragged anything before. I read somewhere that these were easy to frag. Can I just slice a piece of the toadstool and glue it to a rock?

If anyone wanted to swap, I could use blue (particularly) or other eye-catching (as much as possible) mushrooms or bright colored SPS frags.

That's all there is to it. Just be sure to use a clean, sharp razor blade. You can do it in or out of the water.

When I cut it, I only cut the top part, not the stem, right? Thx

You can cut the stem too--

A nice way to do it is the "donut" method--slice a ring of tissue off the outside of the large original colony, then you can slice the ring into a bunch of small frags that you glue (or stitch) to fubble. This way too your original colony will heal nicely and maintain it's shape.
