how to get an anemone out

hello all
so I have a red long tenticle anemone, had him for the last 3 years lol but now he is officially TOO BIG and is killing my corals (SPS) :mad2::mad2:

so now he has to get out of this tank. but I cant get it out !

there is about 4"of DSB and he at touch would just go under the sand and I cant see it anymore

got really mad yesterday and stuck my hand in the sand and still couldnt gt him out :S
and I'm scared it would move my rocks and .... lol

any Ideas or experience with removing anemones ? I guess I should be on a watch for it to make a move and capture it then, but this guy hardly moves :S lol

any advice is appreciated.

I used to have quite a few rose anemones in my old tank, and always would use ice to tickle its foot...but those were always on the rocks so not exactly sure how it would work in the sand.

I usually put on a nitrile glove and put pressure on the foot at the base, right where it is attached and usually, eventually, it will start to release the foot, but I don't put too much pressure or it will tear.
