How to increase Mg?

my Magnesium has always ranged between 1100 and 1250. right now it is 1110 (using Salifert Test Kits). what is the best supplement????

i use Tropic Marin salt and change 4 gallons of water a week on a 20L

What do you use to supplement Ca levels? I used to use seachem reef complete or advantage, I forget the name. Whichever it is, it includes Mg and my tank always tested at 1400 or higher when using it.

I use Kent Tech-M for mag suplimentation. Recommended by jdieck - when it comes to reef/water chemistry his recommendation is gold.

you can do it cheaply with epsom salt.

Epsom salts work in small doses, but if you have to use it often to maintain levels beware of sulfate build ups....

newnano is correct, once balanced you should only have to use a tiny bit every month or so to keep your levels where you want them to be.

Yes, but many people have very depleted levels to start and would need large amounts to get back up to par...

for the DIY savy look at MgOH you can buy the powder in bulk...it's some intense stuff though and can burn skin etc...
