i think i would like to join the club. i am just curious about what is the fees used for?

website, frag swap locations, big raffle items, pays for some of the meat cooked at some of the club's summer tank tour/pool parties, and club supplies if needed like membership cards, the laminator, sleeves and any cheap promotional stuff. Most importantly it is being saved for bigger and better things for the clubs future when we need it. Nice conference/ball rooms ain't cheap ya know... thanks for your interest in the club.

Hey, I want to join SLASH, but I can't do it through paypal, and I tried looking at the forums on the SLASH website, and I can't PM someone if I am not a member. It also says go to meetings, but I can't find out when meetings are if I am not a member. Isn't this somewhat recursive? Is there anyway for me to break into this loop and club? I want to do the family membership.

Our "meetings" are not your typical meetings. They consist of pizza nights and various club parties such as the one Nook is having on July 30th.

You can join at any club function by finding an officer and giving them your dues.

Yes, but since the calendar was club only, how am I supposed to find out when the meetings are? (we are going to be out of town on 30 July for a family reunion.)

I just checked the site and the calender even though its bare is visable when not logged in...

most of the activity and news happens on this site to be honest with ya. Other stuff like the coral donor program, some fun interactive stuff and club member chatter happens over there. Plus it is a back-up for us when RC has its troubles. Mainly we are a bunch of friends who formed a club to hang out and talk hobby. We have few rules and little structure. A meeting/get together just happens when a bunch of us want to get together and see each others ugly mugs. You don't need to be a member to hang out. If you feel you want more out of our club than just hanging out then join. plain and simple... clear as mudd?

You can either use the Paypal link, or pay dues in person at any club event. If those don't work for you, contact Capncapo as he is club president still.

I decided I should actually pay my dues for the first time (plan on coming to the Frag Swap this year) but the PayPal link isn't working...
