How to kill off nasties...

I am going to be putting my stony frags in the 40g this coming week and wanted advice on what to soak my powerheads/skimmer/heater in to kill off any potential nasties....thanks@

The same stuff you soak them in to clean them ....vinegar.

I hear that Seagrams VO runs a close second though. Call me when you're ready to clean!

I don't want to waste the VO!! I was thinking I would need to use a bleach solution to kill off algaes, pests, etc. You think the vinegar will do the trick?

What mung do you suspect in your tank?

I would do a 50/50 bleach solution for 20 min, rinse like crazy, vinegar and rinse like crazy, dechlorinate bath for an hour or two.

Dose the VO in the big wookie looking guy.

If you would build that still like I've been trying to get you to do we could "reclaim" it for a more useful purpose!
