I bough a pink tip Nem about two weeks ago and my gold stripe clown wont even go near it. How can I make him get closer to it. I tried feeding closer to the anenome but he wont go close to it..:(

I've had success using a laser pointer, clowns chased it into the nem and never left. I'm assuming "pink tip" means it's a condy-these aren't a natural host for clowns, so it may never host. My maroons loved bta's.

in my 24 nano my gsm took a month to go into the rbta i got for it. i heard of a lazer pointer, or a smalll flashlight works great. what worked for my was i was doing a water change of about 10g and the water was really low and it swam into it and never left it....until i evicted it for a pair of snows. hehe

Post a picture of your anemone before wasting any time on the prospect. A gold stripe maroon is not typically picky about hosting in any suitable anemone.

there it is nem.jpg

From the single picture, it appears to be an Atlantic Condylactis species. TCondy is not a natural clown hosting species.

If the tentative anemone ID is correct, a clown choosing to call it home will be hit or miss at best.

In the anemones best interest, I would expect it to be happier on rocky substrate vs the glass at the sand line.
