How to move clown eggs from main tank?

My clarki pair have spawned and are tending their eggs. My question is say in the future I would like to raise these fry how do I get the eggs out of the tank assuming the rock they chose is too big to move? Could you like suck them up with a turkey baster right before they hatch and transfer them that way?

I know it's too late this time but next time.

Congrats, on the clarkii eggs. I also have a mated pair of clarkii's and the rock they use i cannot move. So far all i know is wait for them to hatch and try to catch them.

Eggs can be scrapped/siphoned with a rigid tube with a short piece of hose fitted at the end.It is convenient to wait until the last evening before hatch to accomplish this. Most of the eggs are collected unharmed with this method.
They can be then tumbled in a bs hatcher until they hatch.

We put a ceramic floor tile in turned backwards...right in front of the rock they laid the eggs on, now we trade out tiles (without them coming out of the water) and put them into the nursery tank. They are hatching great like this, no more scooping out! I will try to post a pic. NOW I need advice on making the nursery more baby friendly, they aren't lasting past a week!

If you have a sump then this will work. Get a 2 liter soda bottle & cut an opening in the side about a 4" square & put a stocking over it, this will go in the sump standing up. Get a plastic funnel & 3/8 clear tubing & put the hose over the funnel end. Start a syphon & put the funnel over the eggs & the other end in the top of the bottle. The fry will end up in the bottle & the water will go through the stocking. The nice thing about this is you set it up & then go to bed & the next morning deal with it.

Cool idea. Can you post some pics of this setup?
