If your files are to large, if you have photoshop, or photoshop elements when you open a picture there is the option to save for the web, it will greatly reduce file size with out reducing picture size, or loss of much detail.

You could also try this.

about half way down is a link for the image resizer, it is a nice little free tool.

Nope you didn't get it, and you can't put images or urls in your signature per the user agreement

Sorry this is way off topic but how come Custom sigs are not available to put up on your user profile ? Thanks for your help and sorry to get off topic.

how about adding these pics in a similar way to your gallery is that possible?

You can upload them the same way, but they wont automatically get re-sized, if they are to large they will be rejected.

why cant i make this picture bigger? I see some people post pics that are the size of my screen. Photobucket resized it. Its so small no one can see it. I dont have photoshop or any nice or fancy program. Can i make this picture bigger some how. i tried to do it on image shack but its says its too big to post. Can anyone help? thanks

They resize it to reduce the image size on disk, easiest way is to shrink the overall size

You need to resize the picture to reduce the size on disc, but keep the picture size large
You need to have some software to modify the image before uploading it
Check the beginning of this thread, I think there may be some free software on the web you can use

I use photoshop

I use photoshop elements 3.0 there is a free trial at www.adobe.com If you like it, it only costs $50-$60 and it is almost as good as photoshop.

The other option if you are running windows xp is the microsoft image resizer it works well at reducing the file size but keeping picture size large. I use it for some pics, It takes my 4mb pictures and reduces them to 800x600 (a perfect size for this board) and around 200kb. Download it here. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx About half way down on the right called image resizer. It is free.
