How to rescue acan?

I have this gorgeous Acan frag. Its been in my tank about 2-3 weeks now.

When I first got it, it nicely expanded and with the flow it "waved" around.

Recently I saw it not expanding and noticed that there is some skeleton visible. I saw one of my peppermint shrimp trying to snack on it. I took out all my crabs and threw them in the sump.

I'm currently trying to feed the other heads of the acan to help it. Is there anything else I can do?

When I bought a few new Acan frags they were pretty freshly chopped. I found that they were very sensitive to flow, so placement for mine was key. I also found that they were sensitive to light. Too much light was a no go. A few times I tried to put them under LED's and they would literally receed as soon as I turned the LED's on. Low flow, low light, stable water parameters, and time. Good luck, it is a beautiful piece.

Agree with the above and will add low ALK to that.
