Reeflux 12k is nice too, I ran those before I switched to the radium and the color on those is nice too just a tad whiter than radiums, at least to me.
just a tad lighter really thats almost double the spectrum. Im gonna have to check it out.
Now by keeping corals under 10ks does it kill the color does it take time to come back if I put right under a 20k? Will it take a few weeks and get even brighter is there a shock period? Iap u seen my tank alot of brown stuff
I wont say immediate color change. But I ran the 12k to hopefully get more growth and noticed my colors were dulling out so I switched to radiums and ill say I noticed a difference within a month
Now is it the light that makes the change or is the actual coral changed and naturally exhibits more color? So if u grow one out in 10k light and one in 20 k light then put both under a sunlit tank will the 20k grown coral be brighter?
Most definitely it brings out the color. Not just the bulb making it look nicer. I'm sure you have gotten nice colored corals and when they are first in your tank they look nice but eventually they brown out.
Iap true. I just got a ton of frags and some went brown in a day what would cause that water really different? alk? mag? salinity? im thinking alk as way off but just a guess.
Tommorow I will rip out idaho grape and chilices to add acro frags
