I ate slipper lobster tail a few days ago, I wonder is that the same lobster? He looks way cool. I love your tank it looks great! My purple gorgonian sheds like a snake too. It is doing well though, even growing a little already so I guess that's normal.

They are close....but this type does not get big....I have a pet one in the shop that I caught about 10 years ago, weighs 1.5 pounds.....IS the eating type, you find them under ledges hanging on upside down!

HI ALL

Ok 2 weeks since part 2....Ammonia is at 0 ppm....PH 7.8-8.0.....nitrite is at .25 ppm.... and nitrate is at 20-40 ppm.... temp 74 F.

The orange tree sponge started to look bad so I cut the bad parts off and put it back. (Its always been on the bottom right)

Deaths : The 2 shrimps. They died the next morning after installing part 2 by the Condy Anemone. The spider crab also didnt make it.
One of the sea cumbers (the smaller one) has gone AWOL. Havent seen him for about a week. The bigger one has stayed put on top of one of the rocks. He moves a little here and there, but I guess hes happy there.

The slipper lobster is so happy, I went to the beach and got him a bunch of Coqunia clams from the surf.... He acts like hes at a buffet now !!!!

Yesterday half of this group of Star Coral retracted. Then about 2 hours later the other half retracted.

Is there something wrong with it, or is this normal ?????

I dont know ..... but it sounds like a great excuse to me to get a bigger tank !!!!!!

Went down to the jetty rocks and pulled some anemones off. dose anyone what what kind they are and are they good or bad for the tank or fish.

Most look like rock anenomes, if you lve that close to the ocean what are you doing paying someone else to get your stuff?

I've never seen anything like this !!!!!! All this from the shipment !! Why the heck would anyone go to a LFS for any rock or sand???? I just am astounded waiting for income tax returne was going to do it last year but family emergency with two year old grand daughter took the slush fund I had planed. I love her so this year is the year!!
