How's my Reefing?

Well I don't have any experience with actually killing them. But I know they can disappear into the rock. So I hope they don't come back with a vengence. I've read several times that sometimes they just work all the harder at propogating themselves after being attacked. I think I have one in my tank that's tiny and so new I can hardly see it. I just shoved it in the back and put it so that it would be in a dark spot not as likely to get food. I don't know if I would try and get rid of it or any of them. The majanos aren't bad looking. The aptasia can die!

I've read again and again the shrimp won't eat the majanos.

i disagree. these things are considered pests because they can sting corals. and- judging by his "new reef" i'd say they reproduce too fast for my liking.

destroy all pests, before they take over. it's just the right thing to do. because, they can, and will, take over.

they are pests and can spread pretty quick. also of note they pull off rock much easier than aptasia. when i had them i injected them with vinegar than plucked them with tweezers. i have not had a majano in a over a year now

I figured worst case scenario that i would kill something I didn't pay for rather than let it kill something i did. Been a few hours now, and my reef still appears happy.

RiffRaff,

Right in the center of your rocks, you have a feather duster?

I have been looking at adding one, but cant seem to find one I like... I like that one.

what kind is it ? how big will it get ?

its a nice looking nano and will look great in a year all filled...the rabbit fish will get too big though

It was just liste as a feather duster. Nothing fancy. Only thing i did was to make sure the longer piece that had all the shells and rocks stuck to it was tucked away out of sight. Debated burying it, but found a good place that it could sit and not be visible
