Hqi dimmable ballast with profilux

If it has a 1-10Volt controllable input it can be dimmed by the profilux in fact any devise that has 1-10V control lines can be controlled by the Profilux

No not ATi

We can provide through us and fauna marin a star fire fixture which are built bullet proof and with Ce certification.

We are currently working on a 24w dimmable concept with fauna marin right now for another client so will be able to give you an update later this week.

For more info on the Star fire click here (ignore the spec and price the URL is for reference)

Sorry about that. Not ATI. Understood.

I'm ready for a 24Wx8 bulb dimmable fixture. I like the look of the Star Fire Fixture. Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to hearing more from you as this is exactly what I'm looking for. Other than T5 efficiency, it has to look good too. That was the allure of the ATI Power Module. It looked good and it had to look good in the living room. The Star Fire looks good too!

Will the bulbs pairs be independently dimmable??? That's ultimately what I want and would modify the fixture for. Post up as soon as you get the information. :fun2:

Thank you.

24w 110V dimming requires the use of special ballasts and then you will need to interface this with the plug and play GHL dimmable power bar (powerbar 2Dim)

I have to speak with fauna marin about supplying the 24w fixture either with these ballasts already fitted (more expensive route) or to provide the fixture without the ballasts and send the ballasts to the client for them to fit (cheapest option).

in regards to indpendantly dimmable, this all depends on how many channels you wish to use up on the ProfiLux but also the neatness of wiring.

My suggestion would be to have 2 dimming groups either

4 - 4
0r
2 - 6

The later is the most favoured so you can have two outers as actinics phasing in and out.

The plus side of dual channels is that you then only need to have 1 x powerbar 2dim keeping costs down further.

Allow me time to speak with fauna and i will get back to you about this in more detail and pricing.

It is Thanksgiving in Canada this weekend so I will not get back to you until Tuesday.

Hello all!, Gotta let you know that 2 weeks ago i received my new VB 400! Still trying to set up the interface... I will let you know the outcome of this adventure. So far you have to be a computer programer to get anywhere! Coral vue will kill bulbs! It cannot control the K value while dimming. This is where the VB steps in. It constantly adjusts evenly the voltage, current, temperature, and wattage. This is optimised with a ushio 14k. So far this is the only bulb that they have optimised, soon to be broke in with a megachrome 22.5k bulb! Thats if I ever get it to fire up!

Rumours are there is a "genuine" Dali dimmable HQi ballast in development, I will keep you posted.

Oh and of course it will ONLY work with the profiLux :)
