Huge Anemone problem, need expert advice

Thirsty
I have a custom 300 gallon bowfront. I have a set of true percs mated and lay eggs every month, esspecially more around this time of year. Here's the problem: I have 4 huge green tip anemoes that have gotten way out of control and are the size of volley balls. I can't imagine ripping my rock stack apart (2 solid years now), these litterally grow 10 times there size a year (almost everything does in my tank). I tried to remove one and didn't get the whole thing and it just reproduced and split into 4 huge ones. So, I feel really bad but should I just kill 3 of them? I have one that is impeeding on a 6" green tip leather and I have had about enough? I heard lemon juice concentrate, already tried joes juice and nothing but a small dent for two days. I'm at a total loss right now?

Hold an ice cube against the foot of the anemone. It will often release or relax it's hold enough to remove safely.

just give them away to a lfs or sell them

The poster said he couldn't get them off the rockwork got a solution for that?

well i saw 2 previous posts that told him how with ice cubes. once he has them off the rock he should give them away to a lfs or sell them.. not kill them(like he said)..

thanks though..

I did mean kill them if I couldn't remove them. I would never kill a animal without long thought and purpose. I try to give my animals a better life in my tank than in the wild, it's the least I can do for taking them from there natural habitat. Yes, I am going try the ice cube trick and take them to the store unless someone would like them and pay the shipping?

I have the same problem too. My anemones taking over my tank. it's foot is way down deep in my rockwork. I would have to take half my tank apart to get it out. I wish there was a way to get it out without tearing my tank apart.

If you can't get to the foot with an icecube, try the airline method. Thread an air line into the area of the foot and hook it up to small air pump. The anemone will slowly move away from the air agitated area and out into the open.
