Huge Thanks to Steve at Wet Pets

That's in Norman, right? My brother's at OU, I might have to make a trip up there! We have a pet store here and, no joke, the saltwater section consists of some Instant Ocean. With about 4 inches of dust on the top! It's hard to set up an aquarium with no LFS.

Lat0403 , let us know when you are coming up here, I'm sure we can find you a "fish-guide" to show you the local stores here. If you manage to show up on a weekend, I'd be more than happy to do it myself as well.

Thank you so much for the offer! It would be on a weekend. This weekend, I'm going to head over to Lawton and see what I can find there. I know of Fins & Critters, but I think there's more. Maybe I can get everything I need there, but I wouldn't mind taking a trip anyway. I might find something I didn't know I needed!

Don't you love those, lol. It happens to me all the time. I am quite gullible and can easily manipulate myself into believing that I need a lot of reef stuff :)

Quote of the Year!

Chris, I'll hollar at ya next time I'm going fish shopping there. I would love to see your setup. Me and Jess are selling our clowns so that'll free up some room for new fish soon. Mua ha ha! I may find something I didn't know I needed too!

Lol! Everyone is beating me to posting!! Ahh!

That's how I feel about Travis in the newbie forum. Always seems like he's posting as I'm typing. :D

TYPE FASTER!!!

I think at some point along the way, this whole hobby went from a want to a need. And I'm just now getting started. I'm afraid of what's to come!

Now that's the right attitude to have. If the entire world new how utterly addictive this hobby is, they would try to pass laws to make reefing illegal! I watch my fish 10 times more than I watch TV nowadays. And I'm a TV Junkie!

Seriously, there should be warnings when entering fish stores like there are when entering casinos. This hobby can take you down!

It might be a sign to slow down a tad if you dream of swimming with your fish like Angela Lansbury in Bedknobs and Broomsticks.

On the other hand, it'd be pretty cool to swim with your fish and have them tell you exactly what they want. My clowns would say to lay off the pellets and brine, all they want is a constant stream of cyclopeze. My pistol shrimp (that I STILL haven't caught) would tell me to buy more hermits and Rainfords, that they are very tasty (after telling me to **** off). My peppermint would probably not be very understandable. He would talk nonstop very fast. He reminds me of the squirrel from Over the Hedge. The hermits and snails would ask for uzis and biological weapons to use on the Pistol shrimp and my high finned red banded goby would hiccup and hide.

waaaaiiiiitttt a minute. I have had that dream before! I don't wanna slow down! Disregaurd the earlier statement. I don't know what I was talking about!
;)

I started this habit when my son was in short pants...he's almost 40 now. It doesn't get better. Remember that flaming prawn goby that Travis posted as an idea for my 10g.? Well Leighanne found it for me for $120. I am actually considering this. Insane.

I chipped one of my lower teeth which will cost me about $150 or so to fix. I'm thinking, teeth? We don't need no stinking teeth! Is there a 12 step program for us? :D

Nothing dentures can't fix. George Washington had wooden ones. I wonder if I can DIY one of those, too. :lmao:
