Hurricane Matthew incoming

My brother lives in south Florida and does not have any D batteries (nor can he find) for his battery backups, and no generator. He was a 60 gallon tank with SPS, and snowflake eel. I am very concerned that he may lose the livestock in his tank. Any ideas on how to keep o2 circulating? I told him he could siphon and pour back but thats exhaustive. Let me know if you have any ideas I would much appreciate it. (also since I live in Savannah GA and will probably be hit as well).

I hope everyone and their families remain safe.

(....and their fish....

and corals...)

If you have to, stand on a chair, dip a gallon pitcher and pour from height, as many gallons as in dt, every 4 hours day and night. And don't worry about dark and cold: that's good, when you're hoping not to have rapid decay of what died. A bottle of prime and an ammonia test are good.

And tell your brother if he is going to live in South Florida, he needs to get WAY better prepared for hurricanes. Sorry, but that's just the truth.

We're the other side of the state and have batteries, 5K generator, cars gassed up and 15g of gas in spare tanks. It's not like Matthew snuck up on Florida in stealth mode. We've been watching this storm approaching for almost 2 weeks!

Its way more expensive but well worth the cost when considering the possible live stock losses, try to pick up an inverter for 110a/c power to run powerheads from a car battery.

As much as I hate to say it because I love my fish tank more than my wife, but is it worth staying there and risking your life? Especially living in south Florida. Best of luck and hope y'all can stay dry.
