Hydoid help (with pic)

So I've got three little patches of these in the tank (maybe a few more), and they seem pretty passive. I've heard horror stories about hydroids, but I don't think these are the terrors. Can someone confirm? I'm considering just kalk pasting them, but I'd love some input.

I've had a small patch like that for the past year and have tried to get rid of them but can't. On the plus side they've been totally benign and not growing or stinging anything so I have just given up and let them be since they haven't bothered anything

thanks, chrisstie. I'm inclined to ignore them as well, but want to make informed decisions. anyone else have thoughts on these?

I had a patch in my tank but now they're gone. I have a couple locally caught inverts and I wish I knew if one of them ate the patch.

They don't look like the typical hydroids that cause problems that I have come across. If the rock is easy to get out, pull it out. Then put in a bucket of water, use tweezers to manually remove them. If you can't get the rock out easily, you can remove inside the tank. Just be sure to pull from the base, so you get the stalk and the head completely off.
