For those with the Hydor Koralia pump which one what do you suggest for a 72 gal bow front tank? #2 or #3 and or how many? I'm in the process of setting up a reef tank. Thanks.

They are nice pumps in deed. If I were setting this system up I believe I would go with Say three of the 2s. I like more smaller pumps so you can direct the flow better. I am Not saying this is the best its just my take on things. Are you going to use the Ks for all of your circulation ??

Yes i'm gonna use them for circulation. I'm guessing if i do get three #2's would you suggest positioning one in the back middle and one on each sides of the tank.

The case size for the #2 and #3 are the same so the footprint is identical. For a 72 gal. I'd go with two #3's because the output is very difuse and you have a long tank to cover, one on each end facing each other should be fine. Check what others with bigger tanks have to say....

It depends on what your goals are. SPS I would go with at least 2 #4, but if you were thinking lps and softies maybe go with the #2 or #3's.

I have 2 # 4's in my 125 gal and they do great, in my 75 gal sps i have 2 seio 820's. I have not bought anymore hydor due to the fact that dr fosters has had to replace my #4's twice already/ the props seem to be weak.

I'm helping to put a 110 together for a friend and just put two of the 3s in it. I really think they do good on the 4' tank, but suggested that if he gets the SPS bug down the road to add another 3 or mayby a 2 in there.

I'm running two 4s in my 125 and it does pretty well on a wavemaker(agaisnt recomendations, but they are timed for two hours per side with a 1/2 hour overlap).
