Quick update, right now I'm just cycling live rock. Not too worried about light intensity yet, just messing around.
Programming the Apex, could be easier. Hopefully the new Fusion interface will streamline things a bit. But overall easy to connect, takes a little time to customize.
As far as reviews go, does anyone want to see anything in particular regarding the lights? Give me some specific parameters and I can break out the SLR for some photos or use the phone for video. Learning that tank photography is not as easy as it looks. Looking at the some of incredible photos posted by members, they are tough to duplicate.
About the most exciting thing I have to demo color is probably some coraline algae and what looks like red sponges forming? (Very very new to hobby. More on that later. Brief stint in the early 80's was my saltwater experience until a couple months ago.)
Going to try and get into the Fusion beta to get a feel for it also.
Also, for negative thing I noticed. With increases visibility due to the nice lighting now, my tank has a few small scratches on the inside front, nothing major but of course I notice them very quickly. probably due to the live rock being gently bumped during setup. How easy is this to repair? (Acrylic is soft.) Open to suggestions.
