Hyposalinity and fish bloating

I was wondering if anyone else had an experience with fish becoming bloating after starting hyposalinity. I initially thought that my refractometer was off but it was recalibrated and the levels were at 1.009. The fish body was bloated within a few days of reaching 1.009 and resolved once I increased it to 1.015 and was acting normally again.

Usually it's an issue with fish that have been in hypo too long................past the prescribed time. It's deadly if you don't fix it like you did.

I've had anthias bloat like that at the beginning but most fish seem to handle it okay.

What type of fish was it?

I was QTing an angel, a pair of clowns, tang and wrasse. Only the tang and wrasse were affected. This occurred within 5 days of reaching 1.009 (took me a week to get from 1.025 to 1.009). The angel and clowns were fine.
