Hyposalinity and PLTA

any comments on how a LTA will handle hypo?
I'm targeting Ich and I hope to not have to seperate the nem from my clown.

I plan on going to 14ppt for a month or so.

Thanks

Do not think the anemone would fair too well.

IMO, it isn't worth the risk, keep the make tank fallow for 8 weeks, and treat the fish outside of the main tank.

No inverts except hermit crabs will survive hypo and the ich often does not get fully eradicated. Remove fish, copper treat, fallow DT 12 weeks.

thanks for the replies

the main is actually drained, everything removed and the fish/nem are in a smaller tank I set up for this process.

I have a 10g I could put the anemone in but I don't have lighting for it.What would this option require as far as filtration and maintenance?
Would a 6500k refugium light be enough?

Do anemones carry Ich?

Fish carry ich. Gills are the primary spot.

inverts, anemone, and all do not....

BUT....

If you have something that has sucked in the ich, and it gets in your tank and exhails, then it will be in your tank.

Hense the QT and all for EVERYTHING.

Even if it is for a day or so for the non fish... Get it washed off and out of it's system some. Not like you have to leave it there for a month.
