Back from vacation, once again United airlines gave me a free night sleeping in an airport. :mad2:
Anyway, back home now. My aquarium keeper did a great job maintaining things while i was away, even doing a 25% water change for me with water I had pre-mixed and ready.
Everyone is still alive. The yellow tang that had developed a black dot is active but the black dot has grown into a large blotch!! This looks to be fungal or bacterial, with some visible growth off the side of the body. I picked up some paraguard and have dosed to see if this will help. i will once again need to watch pretty closely to make sure this isn't too stressful for the fish. So far they seem to care less.
I am 2.5 weeks into hypo, and about 4 weeks no fish in my DT.
Salinity and pH have proven very easy to control still, with no problems here.
My water is now quite cloudy, likely because I had my helper add a piece of nori every day...instead of every other day as I had been doing.
made a stupid move, putting a paper towel between the HOB filter and the wall to reduce the vibration. the paper towel managed to touch the water in the filter and in 1.5 days about 3 gallons managed to leech out this way onto my floor!! Crazy!
anyway, still plugging along, can't wait to get some fish back in my DT!:fish1:
