I have a tank with live rock and a sand bed that i want to use to treat some ick using the hyposalinty method , Will the sand and live rock prevent me from using the hypo method because it is not a bare bottom tank or should I just extend the time I plan to keep the fish in the hposalinty tank?
Will the live rock be adequate to provide a filter for bacteria to keep the ammonia at a safe level , or will there be so much die off it will raise the amonut of ammonia in the water ?
If you leave the reef tank barren of fish to remove ick , do you need to take out the shrimp or can they be left in the tank ?
Thanks
